Varberg awaits
Varberg is a great place to visit. There are bicycle paths leading almost everywhere and the water is never far off. On one section of the beach, there are 4 nudist beaches (3 of them for women) within a few hundred meters of one another.
Medieval town
Varberg may have been founded in the Middle Ages - but you'll find all the services a modern urban population could ask for. There is great shopping, a cinema, a liquor store, a superb fish shop, and plenty of culture.
Outdoor cafés
Varberg's lively outdoor market, quite possibly the highest concentration of pizzerias and beauty salons anywhere in Western Sweden, and a fortress and two unsolved murders from medieval times, are only a few of the city's big attractions, along with a ferry to take families across the strait to Legoland, and a wide selection of outdoor cafés.
Varberg - entertainment for all
Varberg-dwellers are spoiled with access to some of the best entertainment Sweden has to offer. Entertainers of all sorts make Varberg a stop on their tours. Home-made car builders come here to show off their shining, chromed-fitted creations, jazz musicians play at the many outdoor cafés, chamber orchestras play at the old fortress, actors, inline skaters, kite-flyers, sailors, deep sea fishermen... The people of Varberg need never feel alone.

Many entertainers stand in line to perform here - clowns who profess to play Shakespeare... More miniature golf courses when you're all played out on the links at apelviken.se. Shrimp feasts followed by dancing. Deep sea fishing at the famed fishing grounds in the Kattegat strait.
